Review: Lancôme Effacernes Long-Lasting Concealer

Hello my loves. I have decided to write about a product that I have been using for a while. From the title, you can tell that it is about Lancôme Effacernes Long-Lasting Concealer.

Before I begin, I would like to point out that when you are out and about looking for a concealer, there are a few things to keep in mind:

  • is it for the under eye area
  • is it for blemish or redness coverage
  • your skin type/age.

Lancôme concealer is advertised as:

Achieve a smooth, flawless complexion with the Lancôme Effacernes Long-Lasting Concealer; a lightweight formula to hide signs of fatigue, stress and imperfections. Blending effortlessly on for a streak-free, natural-looking finish, the cream concealer covers dark circles, evens out skin tone and minimises the appearance of fine lines without over-drying skin. Provides SPF30 to shield from environmental aggressors, revealing a brighter, more refined complexion.

It retails for about 25 EUR and while a bit pricey, a little goes a long way.

The concealer comes in a beautiful sleek black tube with 15 ml of product. The application is easy and the fact that it comes out of the tube, pretty sanitary. I love the packaging because it is easy to use, and it is travel-friendly.

The texture is on the thicker side, but it is easy to control the amount of product that comes out. It has high pigmentation and blends out to a natural finish.

This concealer really does last all day long with absolutely no creasing whatsoever (if applied properly).  It is a great eye primer as well.  It is intensely pigmented, so a tiny little bit goes a long way. I use a little dollop (size of a grain of rice) and with that amount I am able to cover both my under eyes.  It’s pretty emollient to spread evenly with even that tiny little bit.

Another thing that is great is its SPF of 30!

The thing I do not like is the shade. When I was purchasing it, I had a hard time finding a perfect shade because shade no.1 (the lightest one) was too light and this no.2 is too pinky. There just wasn’t a shade that would match my skin tone.

So, if I use it, it must be in combination with a foundation or another concealer so that I can adjust the shade, and it is my biggest complaint about this concealer.

I hope this review was helpful! Have you tried this concealer? Write in the comments below.

Until next time,

Anastasia, thank you for reading. I am glad this review helped. I think this is a really good concealer, but unfortunately I didn’t find the right shade.
